Concept & Graphic Design / Art Direction

Sandra is a freelance communication designer and art director and realizes projects in the fields of Event Design, Editorial Design, Corporate Design and UI Design.

Since the Berlin Travel Festival 2019 she is part of the Creative Collective and responsible for the entire visual output of all brand activities of the agency. If you have been wondering all the time who designed the beautiful website you are currently surfing on. That was Sandra as well.

Illustration

Carolin Eitel is a freelance illustrator and also infographic designer, who lives in Munich.

She created the illustrations and thus the basis for the highly regarded campaign for our digital conference “We Love Travel!” (October 2020).

Concept & Set Design

Andrea’s work includes creative direction, concept and set design for events and advertising. She originally started her studies as a photographer, but developed towards scenography. The eye for images (#instagramable) is what distinguishes her work in the 3 dimensional area.

Her clients include Bread and Butter by Zalando, about you, Adidas, diffferent Strategieagentur and others.

Andrea has contributed the creative concept and set design for the Berlin Travel Festival since 2019 until today. She was also responsible for scenography and styling at the BTF’20 campaign shooting and our ITB NOW campaign.

Thies Wulf is a designer whose work spans creative direction, product design and concepts for brand and retail spaces. Thies’ studies at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf laid the foundation for a multidisciplinary career path. Trained as an artist, his way of seeing was deeply influenced by his studies in Sculpture and Film Art / Photography under Nam June Paik and Nan Hoover.

His international portfolio includes creative direction for the fashion label C.P.COMPANY and corporate architecture and store design for STONE ISLAND in St. Tropez, London, New York, Seoul (among other Cities).

Thies has been the Creative Director for spatial design and brand experience at the Berlin Travel Festival since its inception in 2016.

Photography

Julia Zoooi, born in Leipzig, has been living in Berlin since 2002. She graduated at the well known Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin. Working as a freelance photographer her portfolio displays a colorful diversity of humans through portraiture, journalism and lifestyle photography. Her dynamic photos imply a high degree of authenticity and show a great appreciation of the people in front her camera. Furthermore, Julia loves to capture moments and scenes from Berlin’s city life, she is a visual artist who makes the costume of this city glitter in a variety of different collections.

Julia took over the event photography for the Berlin Travel Festival in 2019.

Photography

Peter Mate, born in Pecs Hungary, has been living in Budapest since 2002. He graduated at the Bálint György Journalist Academy in Budapest. After graduating he started to work for hungarian daily newspaper Magyar Nemzet.

His work focuses on people and human nature, wether its an assignment, portrait a musicvideo or event photography. His passion for taking pictures doesn’t take limits, no matter if its analogue or digital, phone or drone, the device is a tool for him to create.

Peter took all campaign pictures and packshots for the Berlin Travel Club Online-Shop and was also the event photographer for We Love Travel!

Malte is a versatile filmmaker and story addict from Berlin. He holds a degree in scriptwriting but he is not only texting and conceptualizing but also (dop-)directing and editing as well as animating. Malte has done some award-winning car commercials and event films but his true passion are human stories, especially portraying intriguing characters. This is probably the major reason for Malte to be such an enthusiastic traveler and travel photographer.

Malte has already edited several videos for us. Whether video interviews or animated videos for advertising campaigns.

Moderator / Host

Nils (*1989 in Geesthacht) is a writer and presenter. In 2007 he became German Champion in soccer, in 2008 and 2013 German Champion in Poetry Slam. He regularly moderates events for the Leipzig Opera and the Dresden State Theater. He is also a member of the stadium announcer team of RB Leipzig and can be seen now and then as an expert and moderator on Sport1.

In the beginning, Nils was a speaker at the Travel Festival himself, but in the meantime he is an integral part of our moderation team. At We Love Travel! he interviewed various guests in the studio and moderated panel discussions on stage.

Moderator / Hostess

Katie is a geographer & presenter and globe collector. As a moderator she convinces with naturalness, credibility and authenticity.

She is a passionate traveller herself and regularly visits unusual places like northern Iraq, Kurdistan and large parts of East Africa. When the opportunity arises, she herself gives exciting lectures about her travels.

Katie is a regular presenter at our events. For example at the Berlin Travel Festival and We Love Travel!
